What is this trip you speak of?

My boyfriend Patrick and I are on a 7 week road trip up the east coast of Australia from Melbourne to Cairns. We're traveling in a camper van that we have rented. Not like a big 'ol luxury trailer with toilets and showers and squishy beds. More like a converted mini van with bench seats that rearrange into a bed and a little cooler and sink and butane stove out the back. Apparently it really the only way to travel the Australian coast.
The coast is full of forests, fields, and of course incredible beaches. So while living with another person (for every waking moment of the day)in a van can be a bit intense, every single day is filled with new and beautiful surprises. Oh ya, and I'm pretty sure there is no one else I could make this sort of trip with. Patrick is the ideal travel partner, and hopefully he still likes me by the end of this all!
Enjoy the stories, however mundane or interesting they may end up being. We're planning as we go so it's hard to say what's to come!
